So I sent you a connection request. You accepted it. Great. He accepted. All right, so what do I do now?
I'm not going to, you know, send a random cold pitch. This is a class one mistake that a lot of people make. They send some ridiculous pitch to someone they just connected with on Linkedin, I don't even know who you are or what you represent. And you just immediately, spam me with this message.
Please don't do that. It isn't e ective. So I let that, you know, percolate for a little bit. Hopefully, you were seeing some of the things that I was doing. And then I was beginning to create a podcast series on brand masters, right? So I said, you know what, I will craft a message. And I'm going to send it to Mike Kim.
I will tell him, Mike, I'm doing this brand master series. You will be a good guest for the show. Here are some other people that I've been interviewing. And I sent you a clip of what the show would look like. And I said, let me know if you'd like to be a guest. You know, and I don't know how long it took for you to respond.
And then you responded back, like, Hey, yeah, that sounds great. You know, I'm taking some time o , but I'm busy right now. But, stay after me. I like to do something with you. And then I was patient, right? Because I respected what you said, and then I came back and I think, I don't know, it was late December or January 2022.
