Why Drug Abuse Never Results in Happiness or Success

After you reach a certain age, almost everyone knows someone who’s overdosed and died because of drugs — a friend, family member, acquaintance, or in/famous person.

If you really care about someone you know who is using drugs, I’m sure you would rather feel awkward and try to help them stop using drugs than to be sitting at their funeral wishing you had. By the time most kids are in high school, they will have met someone in their school who will die from drug use. Be strong, and speak up. You could be the reason someone changes their life and lives. Sometimes all people need is to know someone cares.

Keep this in mind: No one has ever attributed their success in life to their drug abuse. Drug abuse is usually the root of most successful people’s demise — or even their death.

Whatever your goals or future plans are, drugs will only hurt your chances of achieving them. It’s easier to say, “No” before you’re addicted to something than it is once you are addicted. Don’t let a stupid decision potentially ruin your life.
