FEMI (CONT’D)

Was there an argument between you and the deceased? Can you tell me everything that happened? I need you to cooperate with me here.

He mopes, but Chioma doesn’t break her silence. He decides to push his luck one more time:

FEMI (CONT’D)

Do you remember everything that happened last night, or anything at all?

He IMPATIENTLY stares at Chioma for a while, waiting for an answer, but she still doesn’t break her silence.

EXT. MILE 2 BUS PARK - SAME TIME

A busy and ROWDY bus park, with petty traders under colorful umbrellas, lined at one end of the park. The park is clustered with passengers boarding DILAPIDATED commercial buses, as bus conductors yell out their destinations.

The bus Tega boarded at Obalende, drives roughly into the park, raising dry dust, and releasing black smokes, behind. The Bus Conductor jumps from the entrance down to the park ground, while the bus slowly comes to a halt.

BUS CONDUCTOR #1 (shouts)

Everybody come down, come down here. We don reach last bus stop.

Passengers disembark from the entrance of the bus, in breaking lines, as the Bus Conductor continues yelling. Tega is the first to disembark. He is greeted by a familiar sight of weary petty traders under their umbrellas. For a moment, he stands and glances around, listening to near sounds of traders chatting, and distant noises of buses prying along the main road.

A tatty park boy with a pile of dirty banknotes in his hand, harasses the Bus Conductor.
