DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. LEKKI-EPE EXPRESSWAY - CONTINUOUS - FLASHBACK

Uche looks like a man stripped of his pride, which is everything he holds dear. Tears quickly roll down both cheeks.

UCHE

If I don’t have you, then nobody will. I swore this will never happen to me again.

CHIOMA

Tell me, is that what this is all about?

Uche doesn’t respond.

JUMP CUT TO:

INT. ROOM 7, WING C, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - CONTINUOUS

Femi is by the window. He bends the blind before him, and takes a sneak peek through the gap he created, glancing at the environment of the building. He looks away from the window, lets go of the blind, and stares at Chioma.

CHIOMA

It was at that moment Uche confirmed my suspicion. Amara had left him to be with Emeka, and he was scared I was leaving him to be with Emeka too, and he was correct. I was.

EXT. LEKKI-EPE EXPRESSWAY - CONTINUOUS - FLASHBACK

Uche locks the car doors and disables the passengers’ control. He pushes his right feet against the gas pedal completely. We see the readings on the speedometer as the indicator swings from 40 kmph to 120 kmph in just a FEW seconds.
