CHIOMA

(looks at the road ahead)

Slow down! Are you trying to get us killed?

CHIOMA (CONT’D) (cries)

Oh Jesus, you’re trying to get us killed. Is that what you meant when you said if you don’t have me, nobody will?

Chioma SCREAMS, reaches for the door lock, and pulls against it, but the door doesn’t swing open. She hits the rolled-up windows as hard as she can, but Uche had already disabled her door controls. She reaches for her seat belt, pulls it in front of her, and locks it. Tears roll down her cheeks.

CHIOMA (CONT’D)

Okay Uche, let’s go home and talk about this.

CHIOMA (CONT’D) (cries out)

This is no way to solve a problem!

Chioma tries to jolt Uche back into reconsideration, but Uche’s mind was already made up.

UCHE

I really loved you, Chioma... I really did.

Uche declares his love in a BITTERSWEET tone. Chioma shuts her eyes as Uche stirs the vehicle off the expressway and rams it into a compound wall of a nearby commercial building, breaking THROUGH the blocks, and COMPLETELY going straight through the wall.

The car comes to a halt in the compound, FEW inches shy from the main building. The car alarm goes off. A thick dark cloud of smoke is oozing from the STILL-RUNNING engine. The pair are motionless, with all airbags blown up.

Zooms away from the WRECKED car, from the top.

INT. ROOM 7, WING C, ST. NICHOLAS HOSPITAL - CONTINUOUS

Chioma’s face is covered in tears. We have a glimpse of her vision: She can barely see through her eyeballs, as a veil of tears blurs her sight. She appears COMPLETELY lost in thoughts and drowning in a pool of regrets. She continues her narrative:
