CHIOMA (O.S.) (CONT'D) And that wasn’t something I have ever felt with Uche.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. EXQUISITE RESTAURANT - CONTINUOUS - FLASHBACK

Emeka, on the other hand, is in perfect bliss. He smiles at Chioma shyly without panic. Uche and Amara breaks from their embrace and introduces their partners.

UCHE

(to Chioma; smiling)

Chioma meet Amara; we went to the same university. We used to be very good friends.

(to Amara; still smiling) Amara meet Chioma; the woman of my life.

AMARA

(to Uche; surprised) Good friends? Is that how you remembered it?

AMARA (CONT’D) (to Chioma; smiling)

Well it’s nice to meet you Chioma. You’re such a beautiful lady.

Amara compliments Chioma, and everybody is wearing a smile.

CHIOMA

(to Amara; smiling) Thanks.

Uche is staring at Amara, like there’s something different about her, but one which he can’t seem to wrap his fingers around. Uche is compelled to compliment Amara after a MOMENTARY admiration:

UCHE (to Amara)

I love your gown. It reveals your curves just fine. Nobody would have worn it better. I bet.

AMARA

(to Uche; blushing)

Aww, thank you. That’s one thing I miss about you, Uche. Your never-ending compliments.

(to Emeka)

Now that’s how to compliment a lady.

Amara throttles Emeka to be more romantic like Uche.
