EMEKA (laughs)

Nothing. I just wanted to hear you say it again.

CHIOMA (without shame)

I love you. Okay, there you have it. I said it, again. Are you happy now?

EMEKA (smiling sheepishly)

Happy is an understatement.

Chioma inquires, hoping Emeka will say he loves her too:

CHIOMA

Why?

EMEKA

You really want to know?

CHIOMA (nervous)

Yeah I want to know why you’re so happy that I love you.

Emeka CONFIDENTLY stares into Chioma’s eyes, and STEADILY looks into both of them, one after the other, repeatedly. Chioma looks right back into Emeka’s eyes.

CHIOMA (CONT’D)

And why are you looking at me like that?

EMEKA (smiles)

Which should I answer first?

CHIOMA (happy)

Anyone. Take your pick.

EMEKA

You ask too many questions, and that’s not good for a lady, you know.

Chioma stirs the conversation back in line:

CHIOMA (anxious)

Hey pretty boy, take your pick.

EMEKA (blushing)

You think I’m pretty?
