TEGA

(to Chioma; surprised) How you take do am?

CHIOMA (smiles)

Uche is my friend on Facebook and I can see his friend list. I simply searched his friend list for those who bear ‘Amara’, and I identified her using her profile photo.

TEGA (feeling excited)

Chai! Police work go fit you.

CHIOMA (laughs)

I’m an investigative journalist, so we do the same thing.

TEGA

Investi-wetin?

Everybody laughs, except Femi, who’s lost in whirlwinds of thoughts.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. HALLWAY TO THE DPO’S OFFICE - EVENING

Femi is resting his back against a wall, just beside a door, which is labelled: “DPO”. He stares to the ground, head down, with his face pale in FEAR, and his eyes shut in SHAME. He seems to be summoning the courage to face his boss.

He glances at both ends of the hallway; RIGHT first, then LEFT. He pushes himself away from the wall and stands in front of the door. He QUICKLY makes the ‘sign of the cross’ before knocking on the door.

AYAKPAT (O.S.)

Who’s that?

FEMI (in panic)

It’s Femi, sir.

AYAKPAT (O.S.)

Come in!
