Good, now close my door on your way out.

INT. MASTER BEDROOM, UCHE’S APARTMENT - MOMENTS LATER

Chioma is standing before an OPEN wardrobe filled with PROPERLY hanged clothes. The lower compartment of the wardrobe is beautifully decorated with expensive shoes neatly lined up in pairs. She is staring at the wardrobe, probably pondering on which item to pack first.

CHIOMA (to herself)

Now, where do I start from?

A travel box sleeps on the floor, beside her, OPEN and EMPTY. We can hear a phone ringing. Close on a desk telephone planted on the dressing table further away from where Chioma stood. A chain of lotions, perfumes, deodorants, and body-sprays deface the top of the table. Chioma walks over to the table and picks up the phone.

CHIOMA (CONT’D)

Hello.

CHIOMA’S MOTHER (O.S.) (telephone voice)

Chioma, where did you keep your phone? It has been switched off since yesterday.

INT. BEDROOM, CHIOMA’S MOTHER’S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS

We can see who is talking to Chioma via the phone: A ROBUST fairly-beautiful woman, mid-60s, dressed in an ordinary tee-shirt and a wrapper tied around her waist. She is seated on an untidy bed in a decently-furnished bedroom.

CHIOMA (O.S.) (telephone voice)

Mama, you’re the one who pushed me to date Uche. Do you know that Uche is a murderer, and he is wanted by the Police?

CHIOMA’S MOTHER

(exclaims in Igbo)

Chineke!
