Paranormal Journal Entry 16- Ghost Of An Old Man
Dear Journal,
Not long after moving into our house we learned that the old man that lived in it wasn’t very nice and he died in our house. We didn’t know until after we moved in and was about two weeks before we found out. It wasn’t a horrible death; it was more like he died peacefully in his sleep. The fact is that he still died in our house. It wasn’t long maybe a week or two and I’m in my son’s room putting close away and I smelled what was minty muscle cream you like Aspercream but with mint. It was very strong and the smell was mainly in my kids’ bedroom in the closet and in the room. I thought that to be weird, I asked my family if they could smell but they all claimed no. I didn’t think anything of it and ignored the smell, the smell got stronger and I was the only one who could smell it. At this point I was worried about it and thinking there was a ghost in my house and if there was it was harmless. It wasn’t until the very next morning I was getting signs of activity in my house I’d hear footsteps, voices on occasions, things that would raise my senses. At this point I wanted to know who was in my house, and when talking to ghosts, spirits, or entities I ask them to make themselves known to me. At first this ghost was reluctant to reveal himself not sure if he was scared or nervous. It wasn’t until that next morning that he’s reveal himself, I was upstairs folding laundry and watching tv when out of nowhere I hear a voice yell out “ GET OUT” and it sounded like a creepy old man voice. It totally freaked me out at that time it bothered me a bit. I could feel what this ghost was thinking and he thought it was still his house and we were trespassing and he was protecting what was his. I do understand him being defensive, but he always had to know that he was dead and this wasn’t his place anymore it was ours. After having a talk with this ghost, I told him that this house was no longer his and belonged to my family and I and told him it was time for him to move on. He agreed, I thanked him for his visit and I crossed him over. After that day I never seen or heard from the old man again.
