Low Carbohydrate Diets – Why They Are Bad For You Grains: the recommended daily amount is approximately 6 ounces per day.

The reason you don’t combine your fruit and vegetable intake is that you need to eat a specific amount from each food.

Here are the recommended amounts:

Vegetables: 2 ½ cups per day

Fruits: 2 cups per day

Dairy: 3 cups per day

Meat and Beans: 5 ½ ounces per day

although I will briefly describe only the Atkins Diet all the other diets listed above are very similar.

The Atkins Diet

This diet has been known to be effective for weight loss. People who participate in this diet usually see quick results within a week. Participants have been known to lose between 3 and 5 pounds straight out of the gate by increasing the amount of meat in their daily diet.

The human body has had millions of years to perfect its design and function. over all those years our bodies have learned to turn food into sugar. The body needs to convert food to this form so it can be burned as fuel and we can get on with the business of living.
