- 6. FIGHTS CANCER -

Aside from the nitric oxide, which helps prevent the spread of inflammatory diseases, chamomile tea is known to be full of antioxidants.

The antioxidants in the body can help keep your cells healthy and fight the presence of free radicals.

Free radicals can react with healthy cells causing them to become cancerous.

By ingesting antioxidants, you are preventing the growth and spread of cancerous cells.

In studies such as this one, healthy herbal teas such as this have specific effects against certain cancers, including cancer cells specifically in the intestines and gut, prostate, uterus, thyroid, skin, and breast.

One study found that, in particular, people who regularly drink chamomile tea would be very unlikely to develop thyroid cancer in later life.

According to the survey, chamomile was more effective than other teas such as sage and mountain tea.

It’s thought the polyphenol, flavonoids, and catechins in chamomile have potent anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties that can protect over the entire course of life when consumed regularly.

While drinking herbal teas can’t fight existing cancers, they may stop you  from getting cancer in the first place.

The antioxidants fight off free radicals and promote cell repair, meaning cancers are less likely to form.

Some studies show that any cancers that do occur will likely be benign, not malignant.
