Other Sleep Apnea Treatments

If lifestyle changes do not help treat your sleep apnea, your condition is worse than you initially thought.

Here are some other treatments that can help:

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) is a method by which a machine generates air pressure.

To receive it, you must wear a mask. Wear a mask on your nose when you sleep.

When you wear CPAP, you will receive a higher air pressure than when you only breathe air from outside.

The air pressure of this machine helps keep the upper airway passage open. This helps prevent snoring and apneas.

At first, not everyone who uses this machine will be satisfied with it. Because of the way it is made, it may not feel right at first.

However, by adjusting and making the strap fit correctly, you can get used to wearing it.

However, if the mask you have is not secured, you may need to find another mask.

In addition, you can combine a humidifier with CPAP to increase comfort.

Sometimes you may encounter other problems. However, don't stop using it.

Instead, consult your doctor to understand what can be done and make other corrections or adjustments.

If you gain weight, you need to change the air pressure setting.
