After what happened with Chase, Rachel and David decided it was time to make their relationship public and put an end to all the rumors. Since David was staying for a few days they slowly started to go out in public together.

Being haunted by the media was nothing new for Rachel, but she was worried about David and even more about Lea. The first days were crazy with people trying to get the first picture of the new hottest couple and little Lea. Even though they mostly ignored it, David was aware that news about Rachel were written every day and that she was one of the most mentioned woman in the gossip world. However, it wasn’t until they started to live their lives outside her condo that he truly realized how crazy it was.

“How do you cope with it?” – he asked her one night.

“I think you just learn to be oblivious to most of it. It used to drive me crazy” - she confessed – “It’s hard because even if you don’t want to read it, it’s all over the place, and people will tell you and ask about it.”

“They make up so much crazy stuff… I don’t even know where they get these ideas from.”

“I know, and to me that has always been the worst, because people don’t really know you, so they’ll believe what they read. Sometimes you just feel the urge to go and deny everything and show them that’s not who you are” – she admitted.

“How do you deal with it? It has to get to you at times…”

“Of course it does. You feel the pressure” – she admitted – “But you just have to be who you are and have faith in your fans, in the people that besides all the crap can still see that you’re just a person. That you’re not perfect, that you can make mistakes and that will support you any ways.”

“To me you are perfect” - he told her kissing her once again.

If it wasn’t for Rachel it would be unbearable for David to have this kind of life, and he wondered often how people could be so hungry for fame.

When they first had come public, David thought the positive side of it was that since they didn’t had to hide at home anymore they would be able to spend more time together, but now he was realizing it wouldn’t be that simple.

Being on the streets with Rachel meant never being alone, and having all eyes on them all the time. When they would meet in Portugal things would be much calmer even because they’d avoid the big cities and parties and just spent most of the times with their friends at Valcena. However in the UK journalists and paparazzi were like hunters.

The fans would not always have the best timing either, but they cared about Rachel and just wanted to show their appreciation so he could tolerate that, but some people really seemed to be determined to pull them down just for entertainment and that bothered him.
