Chapter 27
It was later that day and Carter, Alvin and Sabrina the woman trekked down the sidewalks of Remakewood headed to the Channel 200 News Station.
A newer black Hummer with tinted windows raced down a perpendicular street with Scarface driving and Chief Hightower in the passenger seat.
The Hummer screeched to a stop, backed up and turned down the street where Carter, Alvin, and Sabrina the woman were walking down the sidewalk.
“How much farther to the station?” Alvin asked while he was sweating and looked exhausted.
“About another mile,” Carter replied.
Alvin started slowing down and lagging behind being exhausted.
The Hummer raced down the street toward Carter, Alvin, and Sabrina the woman.
Chief Hightower leaned out the passenger window with Scarface’s Thompson sub-machine gun in his hands.
Alvin huffed and puffed while he walked behind Carter, and Sabrina the woman.
Carter sensed they were losing Alvin. “Are you okay?” he asked while he turned around to check up on the butler.
Carter’s eyes lit up with fear at the sight of the racing Hummer with Chief Hightower and the sub-machine gun. “Oh crap!” Carter yelled out.
By the time Alvin and Sabrina the woman turned around, Chief Hightower fired the Thompson sub-machine run and bullets ricocheted all around Carter, Alvin, and Sabrina the woman’s feet. They danced while the bullets zinged music all around their feet.
Carter, and Sabrina the woman ran to a nearby Famous Stars convenience store parking lot.
Alvin suddenly got a burst of energy and ran after Carter and Sabrina the woman.
At the Famous Stars convenience store parking lot, Carter spotted a blue Mini Cooper. He had a good feeling about that car so he ran over to it.
Carter peeked inside the blue Mini Cooper and saw the keys were in the ignition and the engine was running.
The black Hummer turned into the parking lot of the Famous Stars convenience store.
“Hop in,” Cooper yelled out to Alvin and Sabrina the woman while he jumped in the driver’s seat of the blue Mini Cooper.
Alvin crawled into the backseat of the blue Mini Cooper and then Sabrina the woman jumped in the passenger seat.
Carter slammed the blue Mini Cooper into drive and stomped on the gas pedal.
The tires screeched and smoked while the blue Mini Cooper raced out of the parking lot whizzing past the black Hummer.
The blue Mini Cooper made a screeching right turn onto the street and raced away.
The Hummer made a screeching U-turn in the convenience store parking lot.
The Hummer raced through the parking lot then made a screeching right turn into the street.
The Hummer raced down the street after the blue Mini Cooper.
Back at the Famous Stars convenience store, Charlie and Stella walked out of the store. They each had a huge Slurpee drink in hand and sucked on their straws.
They walked to the bare parking spot where the blue Mini Cooper was parked.
Stella’s eyes widened at the sight of the bare parking spot. She got pissed when she looked over at Charlie. “You did it again Charlie! Now we can’t complete our second Italian job,” she yelled then threw her Slurpee at Charlie.
Her drink slammed up against Charlie’s head with blue Slurpee drink flying everywhere.
Stella kicked Charlie in his groin.
He dropped to his knees. “Not again!” he cried while he buckled over in extreme pain.
Charlie poured his Slurpee on his crotch to help sooth the pain.
The blue Mini Cooper raced down the street and zigzagged through the heavy traffic.
The black Hummer raced after the Mini Cooper but wasn’t able to zigzag through the traffic since it was too big. Chief Hightower and Scarface were pissed while they watched while the blue Mini Cooper gained ground and get ahead of them.
The blue Mini Cooper made a screeching left turn down another street.
A little while later, the black Hummer made a screeching left turn down that street and raced after the blue Mini Cooper.
The blue Mini Cooper made a screeching right turn into the entrance for the Channel 200 News Station.
Carter raced the Mini Cooper down the entrance and headed straight for the glass doors of the station’s front entrance.
Inside the blue Mini Cooper, everybody watched while the glass door got closer and closer.
“Brace yourself!” Carter yelled out when the Mini Cooper was two feet from the glass doors.
The blue Mini Cooper crashed through the glass front doors of the news station.
The black Hummer raced down the entrance to the Channel 200 news station.
The blue Mini Cooper raced down the main hallway of the news studio with people diving into offices for protection.
Carter screeched the Mini Cooper to a stop in the hallway where a woman hugged the wall scared to death.
“Where’s Bob Biff’s office?” Carter asked the woman from his opened window.
“Turn left at the second hallway up ahead then after you are down that hallway turn right at the first available hallway. He’s in Studio A on the left,” the woman said about ready to pee in her panties.
“Thanks,” Carter yelled out while the Mini Cooper screeched off down the hallway.
The woman looked relieved but she still peed in her panties with fright.
Outside of the news station, Scarface raced the black Hummer through the smashed front doors.
The black Hummer raced down the main hallway with three inches to spare on both sides of the vehicle.
The black Hummer raced farther down the hallway.
“Turn left,” Chief Hightower cried out when he saw black tire marks that made a screeching turn to the left.
Meanwhile, the Mini Cooper raced down another hallway.
It made a screeching turn to the right and raced down that hallway.
Inside the black Hummer, Scarface tried to make the turn to the left but the vehicle got wedged in the hallway and banged into the walls. “Crap,” Scarface yelled and banged on the steering wheel. He opened up the moon roof and crawled through it.
Chief Hightower tried to crawl through the moon roof but was too short. “I need help!” he called out to Scarface.
Scarface kneeled on the roof of the Hummer while he pulled Chief Hightower out of the vehicle.
Scarface got Chief Hightower out of the Hummer but he slipped and they both tumbled down the windshield, down the hood and slammed to the floor.
Carter, Alvin, and Sabrina the woman jumped out of the Mini Cooper and ran to the doors of Studio A.
Back in the other hallway, Scarface and Chief Hightower got up off the hallway in pain.
They ran and turned left down the hallway with the tire marks.
Inside Studio A, Carter, Alvin, and Sabrina the woman ran over to the news desk where Bob Biff was preparing for the next news report.
Carter immediately handed Bob Biff the memory stick from his field jacked.
“Bob, it’s me, Alvin. Here’s that evidence on the government corruption that I promised,” Alvin said while he pointed at the memory stick in Carter’s hand.
“What happened to you?” Bob replied a little concerned while he looked at the hand in Carter’s hand.
“Someone else stole the evidence and then Senator Cheatham tried to kill us,” Carter added.
Bob’s eyes lit up and reached out and snatched the memory stick out of Carter’s hand. He shoved the memory stick in the computer underneath his desk. He opened up the memory stick and smiled at the results that popped up so far.
Chief Hightower and Scarface ran down the hallway by Studio A with their pistols drawn.
“They went into that studio,” Scarface said the second he saw the blue Mini Cooper.
They ran inside Studio A.
They screeched to a stop when they saw Bob Biff at his new desk with “Government Corruption Revealed” headlines on the blue screen behind the news anchor.
“Crap,” Scarface said.
Four security guards for the news station saw Chief Hightower and Scarface with their pistols in their hands.
The security guards tackled Chief Hightower and Scarface to the floor.
Back in Senator Cheatham’s mansion, he along with Senators Dewey and Howe paced in his den drinking scotch and watched the Channel 200 news for any information.
“Hello America, Bob Biff here and I've just received breaking news,” Bob Biff addressed the TV audience.
Senators Cheatham, Dewey, and Howe stopped pacing around the room and stared at the TV.
“Carter Remake, a recently fired Remakewood detective, butler Alvin and sexy woman Sabrina have just handed me evidence on corruption with the entire U.S. Government! This was evidence was kept by Senator Cheatham of Los Angeles,” Bob Biff told the TV audience.
Senators Cheatham, Dewey, and Howe all dropped their scotch glasses in unison.
“We better skedaddle out of here,” Senator Cheatham told his two partners in crime.
The three Senators ran out of the den.
An hour later at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Senator Cheatham raced his Mercedes Benz on the tarmac with Senators Dewy, and Howe inside.
Senator Cheatham screeched his Mercedes Benz to a stop by his personal Cessna Citation Mustang jet paid for by the American taxpayer.
The trunk to the Mercedes Benz popped opened.
The three Senators jumped out of the Mercedes Benz and ran to the trunk of the car. They removed large suitcases full of cash they also squandered from the American taxpayer.
They ran over and got inside the Citation Mustang jet.
The door to the jet closed and the engines started up with a whine.
The Citation Mustang jet taxied away in a rush.
Eight black Chevy Impala government cars raced down the tarmac and raced after the Citation Mustang jet.
The eight government Impala’s stopped in front of the Citation Mustang jet stopped it.
Twenty-four FBI agents jumped out of the Impalas and aimed their pistols at the Citation Mustang jet.
The engines to the jet whined down and the door opened.
Senators Cheatham, Dewey, and Howe came out of the jet with their arms up in the air.
