Customers.

We want them. Our businesses need them. But do we really know them?

A common mistake most freelancers make is they never took the time to identify who their customers really are.

They have a vague idea but it isn’t clear.

Let me example…

A designer will say my customers are businesses. A musician will say my customers are event organisers. A writer will say my customers are novel enthusiast.

Each of them sound specific. It appears as though each one of them have a clear idea of who their customers are.

But…

Do they really?

Let’s zoom in a little closer and see if you can paint a picture of each of their “ideal customer”.

If your customer is a business or a business owner, my question is what problems are you solving for them? Is it a graphic artwork for a large MNC or a simple brochure for a trade show?
