Metaphysics - the study of things beyond physical. College courses, except for psychology, will avoid this in most cases. You'll be taught to believe any such things aren't real and if you think they are, then you just must be unintelligent. They do a great job of getting you not to go there with simple psychology. Nobody wants to be considered unintelligent and you went there to learn so you have already established that you respect their academic authority. They know this, so it's pretty easy for them to pull a trigger that steers you away from the subject. Nothing malicious, they don't want you to go there so that they can teach you on the physical plane about what can be physically established. Now you know why highly educated people might not believe in God (anymore). Please don't hold it against them, they may later come back around. If you want to know why I think colleges are like that, we'll have to go into that at another time. The short answer is, because there is so much to teach about the psychical plane, why bother. Finding Qualified instructors would be another problem.
