Dear Dad,

Often times, I have seen dads come to the stands to watch their kids play a game; some dads have even  been the coaches of their wards. Serena and Venus, two of the world's best tennis players the female world has known are examples to this fact. You have a great role as my supporter. I am the team you should be rooting for.

Every great team needs great supporters and you are the greatest support for your team called “me”. I need you dad to yell; “get going! Get going!” even when I am losing. No sports team or player does well without supporters.

Supporters often pay the tickets to go watch their team, thus providing funds used in running the teams. As my greatest supporter, you need to give all the financial support I can garner from you. I trust that you will always be there when I have a financial burden.

Dad, great supporters support their teams all the way. During moments of victory, and times when they lose, supporters stand tall through the thick and thorns. They know loosing is part of the game, “you will not win if you do not lose''. So dad, it is your role to support me through all the way, there is no compromise in that, whether I get through it or not.

Supporters are often colorfully dressed; they want their team to know they are out there for them. You have a role of assuring me you are out there whenever I need you. You are colorfully dressed as dad and for whom but me. That is why you are called my dad. As much as you are associated with me, you are not just dad but my great supporters. You need to often take a walk with me, take me to places of interest; you will be brightly painted, dressed and addressed.

Supporters go with their team everywhere across lands and seas; they walk with their teams all the way. You have the duty of going with me everywhere; to places, others may not love to go. When perhaps you are limited by time and opportunity, your money, words and prayers should go and can go. Let me know that though you are absent sometimes, times of your presence are well felt. By doing this, you are assuring me of your availability.

Supporters are highly respected; teams know they cannot do without all the support. They cherish the support and are encouraged to get going. Every great team deserves support. If you think I am great, give me all the support I need. I will surely cherish them.

With love

your son
