I seek to be enough
I pretend to be confident,
However my security is a bluff.
Striving for love I take hate,
Wishing for joy, I feel only pain.
I don't know what they expect,
But a man I am not yet therefore they reject.
Contrary to thoughts based on biased minds,
I'm not very smart,
To this label I am bind.
But worst happenings have been happening,
Poor homeless children,
Watching the news is saddening,
I'm maddening myself at myself because of my selfishness.
The world needs change and I'm too busy moping around being sad,
This life is too short to focus on what was once had.
