The Why

The why is always as important as the what.

They may be sad about the life taken,

But the biggest worry is the why.

Why would they do it?

Why would they just quit?

Why would they give up when they could've survived going through it?

Suicide takes a death toll on the suicidal,

But it also takes its toll on the life of the ones, who still have vitals,

Who used to take them to recitals,

Temporary problems were made permanent when the death was final.

Life is just wisdom that you learn as you go on,

Just seeing who will make it through the night until dawn.

Because gratefulness and accomplishment will only come if you can make it through the storm,

You must far exceed the norm and find the reason you were born,

Just because there are rules doesn't mean everyone conforms,

Especially those who are torn,

The broken and the worn,

The beaten and the scorned,

They are the ones who society has left forlorn.

So we do carless things and reckless matters,

Only worrying about not becoming sadder,

Not feeling fatter,

Trying to be cool and ignore all the chatter.

Everyone needs a safe place,

But trust me death will not fix your problems,

It will just give them to someone else,

Someone who won't know how to handle this pain,

Someone who might end up doing the same.
