Head on Home (via 2001)

Been many years on this journey

I admit to millions of mistakes

Met many people, none I'd call friends

There are many hearts I did break

But I've learned a lot about love

And to deal with grief when they go

It's taken some time to put all in order

So now I'm ready to head home

It's my time

To face up to my destiny

Walk towards the light

This here lies my legacy

Nothing to regret, love never forgets

My time to head on home

I don't care to be considered legacy

Or be loved by my friends and kid

It don't matter if I have possessions

As long as I'm proud of all I did

But it's a shame that it took this long

To realize what should matter most

That I'm at peace with me in spirit

Now I'm ready to head home
