I WANT TO FORGET YOU

Those kisses fooled me,

Your smile illuminated the sky-

The sky in which we sat under

A million stars captured our eyes.

I was naive, I should have known

Nothing should seem so perfect.

You were a mystery to me,

Shrouded in strength and charm.

Your poetry amused me-

But your mouth spilled lies.

I want to forget you

But I’ve never known such bliss

I want to forget you

And the intoxication of your lips.
