BOOK 3

PRAYER

The dictionary says that prayer is to address God with adoration, confession, supplication, or thanks-giving. In other words, praying is simply talking to God. Prayer is not repeating certain words or being in a certain position. Prayer is just telling God what is on your heart. Reading a prayer to God would be like reading a conversation with your best friend, God just wants us to talk to Him. When we talk or pray to God we should (1) praise and thank Him (2) pray in his will, (3) ask forgiveness, (4) pray to lead, guide, and deliver us (5) praise and glorify Him.

In Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:1-4, the disciples ask Jesus to teach them to pray. This is NOT the LORD’S PRAYER it is a MODEL PRAYER for us to go by. The LORD’S PRAYER is found in John 17:1-26. He prays for his disciples and all believers.

JUSTIFICATION

The word JUSTIFICATION means just as though I have never sinned. All the saved will stand before God JUSTIFIED. A person is Justified by the blood of Jesus. Justification is being made righteous by Christ. Christ the JUST dies for the UNJUST the sinner. When we are JUSTIFIED a person is saved and has passed from death unto life. A person does not have to be a Minister or Missionary to be a witness for Jesus, all the saved should be. We the save have been set apart for God. HEAVEN

There are three heavens: (1) atmospheric heaven, Acts 14:17; (2) the stellar heaven, Genesis 1:14; (3) and the third heaven, II Corinthians 12:2; Deuteronomy 10:14. Third heaven is God’s dwelling place. There will be a new heaven and new earth. The old will melt with fervent heat. (II Peter 3:10-13) In what sense are they new? It does not mean just brought into existence, but renovated, made fresh, and implies previous existence. Throughout scriptures, the reconstitution of the material world, by which it passes from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory is seen.

ANGELS

Angels were created by God. They are created beings. Angels were created before man. Angels are not in the image of God. Angels were created to serve God and to give him praise. There were three archangels mention in the Bible, Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. The word for angel in the Hebrew is (MALAK) which means to dispatch as a deputy or a messenger. The word for angel in the Greek is (AGGELOS) which means a messenger.

Angels have the power to change themselves into men or to make themselves invisible. There are innumerable company of angels.

When Lucifer sinned, he took with him many angels. The angels that sinned and went with Lucifer can transform themselves into angels of light.

WHERE ARE THE DEAD?

This is a question that is ask by many people. And most do not know the answer.

We want to look to God’s Word the Bible for the answer.

There are two places a person can go after death. One place is Heaven for the saved and Hell for the lost.

Job asked the question, “But man dieth, And wasteth away; yea man giveth up the ghost and where is he?” Job 14:10. “If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14.

Paul said in Philippians 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” II Corinthians 5:1 “For we Know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”

Jesus said to the thief on the cross, “today thou will be with be in paradise.” Luke 23:43. Paradise is another name for Heaven, II Corinthians 12:1-4, Paul the apostle was caught into the third heaven Verse 2, and in Verse 4 he calls it paradise.

Those who are not saved will go to hell after death. We find the account in Luke 16:19-31 of the rich man going to a place of torments, a place where he could not escape from and he was in the flames of fire, a place known as hell.

In Psalm 9:17 it says that the wicked will be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
