CHAPTER 14

THE THIRD DAY

I know there have been a lot of date setters throughout history, who have attempted to specify the return of Jesus Christ, and they have all been wrong. Call it hubris or whatever you want but I am going to also attempt to give you some dates…specifically the date of the rapture and the date of the second coming of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. I absolutely believe in the rapture, but I believe the rapture of the Church and the date of Jesus’ physical return are two separate dates. I am only reading the scriptures and reaching what I think are some obvious conclusions. I might be wrong but I believe there are specific signs that will occur prior to the return of the LORD, so if you do not see these specific signs, then you can ignore everything I am about to write.

Hos 6:1  Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

Hos 6:2  After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

Hos 6:3  Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

I hope and pray we do not have to wait that long. However, if I am right and Jesus was crucified in 30 A.D., then 2030 AD would be 2000 years since he ascended into heaven or the end of the second day of God’s three day timeline for the Church. 2030 AD will be a Jubilee year when all debts are forgiven and the earth is returned to its rightful owner…JESUS CHRIST!

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Using the Apostle Peter’s timeline of one-thousand years being equal to one day with the LORD then 2030 AD will be the start of the third day from the crucifixion of the LORD and the RESURRECTION OF THE CHURCH!

I found these interesting verses in the Book of Exodus:

Exo 19:11  And be ready against the third day: for the THIRD DAY (emphasis added) the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

Also:

Exo 19:16  And it came to pass on the THIRD DAY (emphasis added) in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Also:

Hos 6:2  After two days will he revive us: in the THIRD DAY (emphasis added) he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

The Lord will come down on the THIRD DAY and will also raise the Church (His corporate body) up on the third day. Do these Bible verses sound familiar? I believe that Jesus rose on the third day and the Church, the body of Christ, will also rise on the third day, either in late 2029 or early 2030 A.D. When the Lord descends on Mount Sinai on the third day in the Book of Exodus, it appears to be a “type” or a dress rehearsal for His second coming:

Zep 1:14  The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

Zep 1:15  That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Zep 1:16  A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

Could the previous appearance of the LORD also give us a clue about the timing of His second coming?

Jos 1:10  Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,

Jos 1:11  Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within THREE DAYS (emphasis added) ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.

The Church will possess the renewed earth, or the Promised Land, on the third day…probably on the Feast of Passover because that is when Israel entered the Land of Canaan. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day is a “type” of the death and resurrection of the Church. Most of the Church will be persecuted and killed by the Babylonian/beast system during the great tribulation. However, death is nothing to be afraid of if you are a Christian. Our last breath on earth is our first breath in heaven.

Perhaps, like we were able to determine King David’s Age when he slew Goliath by counting backwards from when he became King of Judah, we can figure out God’s timeline for the end of days counting backwards from Passover 2030AD:

I believe we can determine the exact day for the return of Jesus Christ to the Mount of Olives by a prophecy in the Book of Daniel:

Dan 12:11  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

When will the abomination that maketh desolate be set up? I believe I know the answer to that question. As I said previously, I believe Antiochus IV was a “type” of the antichrist and we know the EXACT date he set up his image in the temple:

1 Maccabees 1:54 "Now the fifteenth day of the month Casleu (Kislev), in the hundred forty and fifth year, they set up the abomination of desolation upon the altar, and builded idol altars throughout the cities of Juda on every side;"

We also know the date that Judas Maccabees dedicated the temple approximately three (3) years later, which is still celebrated as the celebration of Hanukkah:

2 Maccabees 10:5 Now upon the same day that the temple had been polluted by the strangers, on the very same day it was cleansed again, to wit, on the five and twentieth day of the month of Casleu (Kislev).

6 And they kept eight days with joy, after the manner of the feast of the tabernacles, remembering that not long before they had kept the feast of the tabernacles when they were in the mountains, and in dens like wild beasts.

In the Book of Daniel, we have the means to calculate the return of Jesus Christ.

Dan 12:11  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Therefore, if we can determine when the abomination of desolation will be set up by counting back three and one-half (3 and ½) years from the Spring of 2030 to Kislev 15, 2026. We can go online and find the date of Hanukkah in 2026, which is December 5, 2026 and count backwards ten (10) days and we arrive at November 25, 2026, the day of the abomination desolation, when the false idol is set up by the Antichrist. There is a handy website where we can calculate the date 1290 days later:

http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

Therefore, the antichrist will set up his image on November 25, 2026 and 1290 days (42 months) later, on June 7, 2030, which falls on the second of the three great Holy days of Israel… Pentecost! Pentecost was the date Jehovah came down in the midst of Israel from Mount Sinai; also according to Hebrew tradition Pentecost was King David’s birthday and that is when he became King of Judah; also Pentecost is the date when the Holy Ghost came down on the Apostolic Church after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I believe that on Pentecost, June 7, 2030, the feet of Jesus Christ will set down on the Mount of Olives and He will be recognized as the true King of Israel! However, I believe there will be a rapture/resurrection of the saints on a specific date prior to this event. I lean towards the Feast of Tabernacles and I will tell you why later in this Book.

If we subtract 42 months from November 25, 2026, we arrive at May 25, 2023, the day before Pentecost on May 26, 2023. This will be exactly seven (7) years prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

*** Due to problems converting the Jewish calendar to the Gregorian calendar dates can sometimes be off by a day. I checked out other possible dates of the return of Jesus Christ using this same calculation method and it also may work in the years 2027 and 2033. Also, remember that God’s days start on the evening of the previous day of the Gregorian calendar.
