What is fundamentally wrong with Islam today, 3.0 ?
In brief, there is no freedom in Islam. Governments make "Islamic" Laws or Sharia Laws, thinking they are obeying God so God will be pleased and spare them, the country, the people from calamities and social disorders and bring economic wealth.
Result ? Almost all Islamic Countries are poor Countries and could not survive without aid.
The going ons in the Islamic World has happened in the Christian World. The Cartoon below says it rather well. It is a repitition of Christian History. Its global witch hunt second time around !
God doesn't work. Why should a God Almighty work ? And why should He answer your prayers as if you are the Lord. One who claims that he prayed and God answered his prayers must surely be naive and irresponsible.
I for one, would definitely not go to a Doctor who will pray for my health and charge me for it too. Or a Doctor who isn't so good, makes the wrong diagnosis, gives me the wrong medication and it doesn't work, and tells me or my family he did his best and it is up to God now, so pray for my recovery.
Hence in an Islamic State, the whole state is left to the Mercy of God, with focus on Laws, Sharia Laws that is and anyone breaking Gods Laws or the Commandments, which mostly are irrelevant, out of date, for a different people and culture, and wholly unsuitable for others, anyone caught doing so may be punishable by death, or beheading or hand chopping or stoning or lashing. I cannot remember anywhere in the Koran if there is any mention of "prison". I think prisons are not invented yet.
The resulting chaos is inevitable.
Thus to begin with Islamic governments need to practice Freedom and Democracy, and allow plurality in Islam and Laws must be suitable to that Country and Society, not mere clones of Koranic Laws or Laws made 1400 years ago. Extremists, Fanatics, Islamists, insist the Laws are applicable forever. Why ? Because God says so in the Koran, and the Koran is forever. The only good thing about this I know is that journalists and reporters have eternal material to work on for their respective channels. After some time, they may even get prophetic, knowing when it is baby burying season, when it is lashing season, stoning season, beheading season and so on. Maybe I should invest in a TV channel in some Islamic State.
