Chapter Fourteen

Are You Walking With God?

A Believer should be able to understand that there is a difference between a believer who has walked with the Lord and a believer that is walking with God. A believer that is walking with the Lord is a young believer. When a believer starts walking with God, that believer is then considered mature by God. He no longer needs milk but solid meat. That believer has reached God; he will see the goodness of God. If you are still in the stage of carnality, you are still at the beginning of your journey to reach God. If you still think that God is in the church, you need to understand that God does not live in temples built by man. God is in heaven up above and He has given us Jesus, His One and only Son so that whoever believes in Him will be saved. He is the gift of salvation for mankind. How is Jesus able to save? Jesus has been in the world and has died so that we can be redeemed. When He died and later resurrected, where did he take His body? Jesus’ body is what the scriptures call the church. The church is a group of people that are called Christians. If you want to be in the Lord, you have to become born gain. If you are thinking that a Christian is born again, then you are lacking in knowledge. A Christian is not born again. Christ is the foundation of God’s redemption plan. A Christian cannot be born again unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Why is a Christian not born again yet they believe in Jesus Christ? The scriptures say that a man cannot enter the kingdom of heaven without being born of water and the Spirit. How can a person be born of water and the Spirit? That person needs to first die and then be born a second time. It is the second birth that is not of flesh and blood. If Jesus had not taught about this, it would have been even more difficult for the believers that are called to be Christians to understand the redemption plan of God. In the following passage Jesus teaches about this mystery.

John 3:1  There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

John 3:2  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

John 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

John 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:8  The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

John 3:9  Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

John 3:10  Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

John 3:11  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

John 3:12  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

John 3:13  And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

John 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

John 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life

The Lord has given to me this knowledge that whoever shall believe in what he reads will find God. So many people will miss heaven because they are deceived to think that the Lord is interested in works. The Lord is only interested in bringing people to God, a mission that He had to come down from heaven and die for. If you are in the premise that Jesus is in the church, you are deceived. Jesus is risen. Jesus has been risen for over 2000 years. He does not want you to think that He is dead. The dead are not in heaven, they are in paradise. This is a place in the heavens; however, it is not the abode of Jesus or the Father. Paradise was once the Father’s abode before the earth was destroyed by GOD. This earth is billions of years old. It is a place that had a civilization that was even more advanced than this modern age. It had a lot of inhabitants and was populated to the brim. After the earth was destroyed, it was restored by God and a man was formed in God’s image. Who was this man? Adam was the first man to have a living soul in him. He had the privilege to communicate with God at any time. He lost this ability when he consulted with the dead. In other words, Adam was the first necromancer. He walked with the serpent. How did Adam walk with the serpent? He did what the serpent told him to do; Adam did the enemy’s will. He had a direct communication with God yet he chose to listen to the enemy’s will and to do it. Adam was an harlot unto God. Even though he was able to walk with God, he chose to walk with the enemy. This was his sin. When you study the scriptures, you may think that he was not able to ask God about what the enemy was enticing him with. Had Adam subdued the enemy, he would have been an overcomer and the enemy would have been powerless before him. However, having done the enemy’s will, he made the devil a powerful being. The devil is the one that has to be subdued all the time. If you are going to walk with God, you will be tested to see if you can subdue the enemy. If you subdue, then you are an overcomer and when the enemy has been subdued, he will flee. This is what the Lord calls a man of God. Such a person will always be in the presence of God.

If you are in an environment that has cursed spirits, they will try to tempt you to do the enemy’s will. Every time you do the enemy’s will, you lose God. How? The enemy is antagonistic to God. If you find that you are in situation where you need to know what God is saying, go and ask Him for His will. God will confirm His will for you. Had Adam been able to ask God for His will, Eve would not have been enticed by Lucifer. Adam had been in God’s presence and did not need the devil yet he was deceived by the devil. If you are in a similar situation, turn back to God. You do not need to receive God’s will from your pastor. A pastor is a minister that is supposed to tend the flock. His work is to make sure the flock is healthy, well fed, and nurtured. If a pastor is giving people what the Lord’s will is for them, that pastor is doing the enemy’s will. The Lord will not give a pastor His will for any believer. A pastor should not embark on telling people what is on the Lord’s mind. He may be able to teach you about God but will not tell you what God’s calling for you is. Have you been told what God’s call for your life is by a pastor? If you have received God’s calling for your life from a pastor, then know that it is not what God wants. If you have been called by the Lord, the Lord will lead you himself to Him. Once when I was driving, I saw a shepherd herding his cattle, the Lord impressed in my spirit this scripture; John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”.  I wondered why the Lord was impressing this scripture in my spirit. Sometime after that, I was called by the Lord to be a prophet. I never went to a pastor to ask about my calling. I was given my calling by the Holy Ghost. If I had gone to a pastor to ask about what the Lord was calling me to do, I would have been lost. Why? It is what the Lord does Himself. No man can be able to tell you what is on the Lord’s mind apart from a prophet of God. If you have been told what the Lord has called you to be by a pastor; STOP and seek God. You have been led to the wrong path. It is what most ministers are involved in. They are trying to tell the Lord what to do. They would rather seek the Lord on what His will is for them and not for other believers. What will believers that depend entirely on their pastors do? They have to start preparing themselves for the Lord to lead them to Him. You will not know the time or circumstances that the Lord has prepared for you. The Lord will start by placing His desires in you. The desires from the Lord are not supposed to be antagonistic to the desires that are in your human spirit. If you find that a pastor has given you a ‘calling from the Lord’, that does not rhyme with your human spirit, it is not the Lord’s calling for your life. Go and seek Him. A pastor that is giving believers the Lord’s calling for their lives is doing the enemy’s will. If it were the truth, then the Lord would not be God. That pastor is rebellious towards God. He will rather need to repent for his rebellion.
