CHAPTER 15

No one else is like God

The Holy One has no equal:

“To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.

[Isaiah 40:25]

There is no king like the Lord God: Inasmuch as there is none like You, O Lord (You are great, and Your name is great in might). Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your rightful due. For among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like You.

[Jeremiah 10:6-7]

There is no one like the Lord God: Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me. [Isaiah 46:9]

The Lord is God and there is no other: I am the Lord, and there is no other. There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, that they may know from

the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. [Isaiah 45:5-6]

There is no Savior other than God:

“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.”

[Isaiah 43:10-11]

God treads the winepress alone. Only his arm and wrath help him:

“I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury. Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes. For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come. I looked, but there was no one to help, and I wondered that there was no one to uphold. Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me. And My own fury, it sustained Me.” [Isaiah 63:3-5]

The Word of God, Jesus Christ, treads the winepress of the wrath of God:

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

[Revelation 19:13-15]
