Chapter five
YOUR COPYRIGHT PROTECTION
Oftentimes you would have seen this sign “©” with a name after it, for example, © Samuel Ufot Ekekere. You might never have considered the essence of this sign. The sign symbolizes the author’s right and privilege to his book. It provides a ground of protection so that anyone who wants to use any part of the publication has to ask for permission from the author. It ensures that the author is capable of suing against any infringement made by any other author in respect of his work. Once your work is copyright protected, every right and privilege accorded to the book is given the author. Therefore, anyone who wants to quote the author must do it in such a way as to ensure the author of the work takes all due accolades for the work.
God had made everyone distinct and different as we had seen earlier and had given us an identity that ensures we are open to his source of wisdom and knowledge to live our lives. A benefit of this identity is the protection we enjoy. Remember, under the shadow of the Almighty shall we lay. God assures us that he has the ultimate source of knowledge upon which we can delve into and still enjoy the security he provides. God’s success is different from the one the world provides where you succeed and continuously live in fear. As much as your book is authorized by God you are assured of that copyrighted protection that the devil dare not come close. God has ensured he makes the provision and he only beckons on us, his books, to come enjoy the protection on this enabled platform.
In the quest for success and enviable position, many have looked away from the promised protection God has promised to provide them. Any book that is not copyrighted could fall into wrong hands that may as well choose to publish the work under their own number. Satan is constantly trying to make rubbish of your book but when the seal of God’s protection is upon you, you are assured of God’s safety.
If you look at the copyright logo on many books, you will see close to it the year of publication. Every book has a year of publication upon which they enjoy this seal of protection. There is a certain time when we begin to enjoy God’s seal of protection. When we realize the greatest publisher is just around us and we recognize the quest and desire of his son to make us bestsellers, at that moment we begin to enjoy the seal of protection. Heaven now recognizes that we desire the seal and that we want to be true successes indeed. That year can never be forgotten. It continues to be fresh in our hearts because it’s the only reason we are enjoying this seal of protection.
No one wants to lose this seal of protection. Every book that loses its copyright status is invariably telling the world that the information written therein in the book is of no direct importance to the author and the author does not feel any direct longing to hold on to the very treasure which he had sought to protect. Losing your seal of protection is like telling God, you are not certain he can protect you all the way to the top. It’s like saying I do not see the effect of his protection upon me. After all these years of protection, what has it added to me?
God is still the source of true security. Every other security platform will fail. But God is capable of putting a hedge round about us. Of course, he has legions of angels. Imagine what one angel can do and then having legions of angels at your disposal.
What greater assurance can we have than these “he will lift you up lest you dash your feet against a stone”. Even the stones are aware you should not hit them. They know when they see you. They’d naturally give way. Remember though a thousand come against you and ten thousand on your right hand, you will overcome them and they will not be capable of harming you. That’s reassuring. As you remain that book, God’s protection is sure. Sickness, Satan, Sin will not have any effect upon you for God will place a shield before you.
Every day as you live your life, remember the publisher whose book you are. He wants to ensure you end up not just a bestseller but also a supersellerTM. He has done it before in many other books and your case won’t be different. His thoughts concerning you are thoughts of good and not of evil to bring you to an expected end. Be reassured that as you make your constant journey to success, God is right there powered by his spirit to keep you from falling. God is merciful. Don’t worry about the little things that try to make you fear. Don’t worry about the little miscreants that think they can steal your work and make it theirs. They have certainly failed for God remains your shield and buckler and he will keep you through it all to ensure you come through again not just a bestseller but also a supersellerTM
