Born of the Spirit

Being born of the spirit is the key to living a successful Christian life. Without the Holy Spirit, you won’t be able to stand. This new kingdom you have come into have principles and ways by which everything functions. The word of God is spirit it’s only the Holy Spirit that can make you understand the words of God.

“Born of the spirit means to be conceive by the Holy Spirit and be reborn”.

“As shell envelop chick till they are grown and hatch so shall the Spirit of Christ envelop you and that Holy thing shall be born which is you”.

This happen as the speed of light, that is why the process is not noticed. The infilling of the Holy Spirit is the greatest thing that could happen to any Man/Woman.

This is the Spirit the Lord was talking about when he said;

“I will pray the father, and he shall send you another comforter”. John 14 v 16

Without the Holy Spirit no man can live a powerful Christian life. Even the Apostles had to wait for the Holy Spirit to come before they could preach the Gospel.

Before the Lord Jesus departed to heaven, he told the disciples that they shall receive power after the Holy Ghost is come upon them.

Let’s have a look at the incident.

Act 1 vs 8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

They believed in him, they were with him all through but now He made them understand that until the Holy Spirit come upon them they don’t have power to do anything.

I wonder how another person who doesn’t know anything about Jesus will be able to live this new life without the Holy Spirit.

“Without the Holy Spirit Christianity is another boring religion”.

In the book of Luke chapter 24 vs 49

And behold, I send the promise of my father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

The Holy Spirit is the promise of the father, before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ God had given His Prophets prophecies concerning the outpouring of His Spirit. Let’s quickly have a look at that before we proceed.

Joel 2 vs 28

And it shall come pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions:

This is the promise the Lord Jesus was referring to. The disciples had to wait for the Holy Spirit to reborn them before they can live the new life they have received.

The promise came to them on a notable day till date called the day of Pentecost. On that day the Spirit of the Lord overshadowed the building as he overshadowed Mary the mother of Jesus Christ and the Apostles were conceived and given birth to. After that moment they were never the same. This is the real birth.

Let’s see the scripture concerning this.

Are you ready? Act 2 vs 1 -4

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Note: The people that were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost were not the Apostles alone, there were about 120 people in the upper room.

This is the day the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven to dwell with us forever. If it was compulsory for them to have the Holy Spirit to give them power, then we also have to be filled with the Holy Ghost.

What took place on the day of Pentecost is actually the rebirth, though the incident took place in a twinkle of an eye but in the realm of the spirit they were conceived and given birth to.

To prove that, their lives from that day were never the same, the boldness Peter received was beyond doubt, same Peter that denied Jesus Christ because of fear. Read the whole of the chapter.

This birth is not restricted to the Apostles alone but is for all that believes in Jesus.

This book cannot contain who the Holy Spirit is, that is another book entirely if the LORD will instruct me to write on that.

“After you have received the Holy Spirit, you can handle any situation personally”.

“When the spirit comes in, everything that is of the devil is automatically ejected”

“Light and darkness cannot live in the same house, Holy Spirit and devil cannot live in the same body”.

“If you have been in Christ for a long time and things remain the same or even worse, what you need is the Holy Spirit, get him, once you have him, your life will blossom”.

“He is the solution to all the problems you could ever face”.

“You cannot understand the word of God without the holy spirit”.

“Do you know that the Holy Spirit made the whole world? The Holy spirit is the power of God Almighty”.

Job 28 vs 13

“By His spirit, He garnished the heavens”

“The Holy Spirit gave birth to the Lord Jesus”.

Jesus was always referring to him as His father that dwells in him.

“He is the doer of the miracles that The Lord Jesus performed and still performing”.

Open your Bible to John 14 vs 10

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

He was referring to the Holy Spirit that was in him.

So much to write about him but this book cannot contain them.

Pray for me that the Lord will open doors of utterance for me to write on that for you.

The Apostles including Apostle Paul received the Holy Spirit and the early believers received the Holy Spirit, this means that we all must receive the Holy Spirit if we truly believe in Jesus Christ.

The Lord also said this;

Acts 1 v 15

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Jesus is the one that baptizes with the Holy Ghost.

Mathew 3 v 11

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: HE SHALL BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND WITH FIRE:

See Luke 3 v 16 also.

With what I have shared with you so far, I believe you want to be baptized in the Holy Ghost if you have not been baptized in Him. If this is your decision, then let us see how we can receive the Holy Ghost or be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
