How to Ask In Prayer

Prayer is very essential, aside asking the father for something, it is a fellowship and interaction between you and your heavenly father which have so many benefits for you.

We pray to the father in the name of the Lord Jesus. When we pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the father doesn’t recognize the prayer as your prayer but as Jesus’ prayer.

The name of Jesus is also a tool, aside using it to communicate with the father; it is a strong tool that has the ability to break anything. In the name of Jesus the father has packed all the powers in heaven and earth.

“The name of Jesus is a mighty hammer that has the ability to break anything, what you can break with it depends on your ability to lift it”.

Philippians 2 vs 10

At the name of Jesus, every kneel should bow, of (things) in heaven, and (things) in earth, and (things) under the earth.

You say something like;

“Father, I ask for so and so in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Amen)

The Lord Jesus has given us permission to ask the father anything we want or desire in his name.

In the book of John 16 vs 23 – 24

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing, Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the father in my name, he will give it to you.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name, ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

The Lord Jesus is saying here that till now you have not ask anything in his name then he says “ Ask” and the sweetest of it all is that he says when we ask in his name we shall “Receive” that our joy may be full.

You can’t wait to pray about something when you know our father will surely grant your request. I know there are people who have asked and what they asked was not granted. The problem you have is how to receive.

You agree with me that the Lord Jesus will not tell us to ask when he knows that the Father will not give what we asked.

Too many of us know how to ask but don’t know how to receive. As asking have a principle that is “Ask in my name” so also receiving has principles.

Now that you have known how to ask let us see how to receive.
