just wanting to feel a bit comfier before Chris arrived. He was bringing pizza with him, since I was getting home first we figured it was best that he bought it on the way over so it wouldn’t be cold once he arrived. I made myself a cup of tea and went to look through our DVD and Blue- ray collection. It wasn’t massive so it took all of about ten seconds to find it. I popped it in the player and pressed the pause button. Then I sat distracting myself by playing app games. I had tried to stay away from app games, as I felt like it was a waste of time and addictive but sometimes it was nice to just sit and play meaningless games.

I heard a knock on the door and went to open it. Chris was standing with two pizza boxes and a carrier bag from Tesco with what I was guessing was the wine that he had promised.

“Yo Alex, grab these for me.” He handed me the pizzas and the Tesco bag.

“Hi Chris! Come on in, I’ll get a couple of wine glasses.” I started walking towards the kitchen whilst I continued talking. “The film is all set up and ready to run.”

“Wish I could run.” He laughed at his own joke. “Things I do for my best friends, I tell ya!”

“Well I’m gonna have to sit through The Godfather, so sip it.”

“I will sip it, that is how you enjoy wine. Get it? ’Sip it’.” He joked as he took off his shoes and jacket in the hall before walking through. I threw him a sarcastic laugh.

“You’ll love it,” I said.

We walked through to the living room with our wine glasses, filled to the top, and pizzas. Mine was a Hawaiian with ham and pineapple and Chris had a chicken pizza.
