let go of each other at the sight of me, as if they had been caught doing something naughty. I rolled my eyes.

“You’re getting to know each other I see,” I said as I took a few steps towards them.

They looked at each other, both of them slightly embarrassed. Lisa looking down at the ground and fiddling with her hands and Chris scratching his head as if to say ’I have no idea what just happened’. I giggled at them.

“Come on guys, why are you embarrassed? I don’t mind you having fun.”

They looked a bit more relaxed as I said it. Lisa looked at me.

“Where’s Dave?”

“He’s still inside. I’m going home. Lisa, you wanna go home with me now or are you guys going to stay out for a while?”

“Erm…” Lisa looked at Chris as he looked up and said: “I wouldn’t mind staying out for a bit, maybe we could head to a club or something?”

“Yeah, I mean, if you don’t mind Alex?” “Sure, I don’t mind.” I smiled at them.

“You have to text me when you’re home, and take a taxi back OK? Actually we’ll make sure you get one first.” Chris said as a matter of fact.

“Yeah,” Lisa cut in, “be careful, hope that horrible mugger’s long gone.”

“What mugger?” Chris looked at me, all of a sudden becoming very serious.

“I got mugged the other day, but I’m fine, honest. Just make sure Lisa gets home OK.”

“Are you OK Alex? Did he hurt you?” I looked at Chris.
