It was quiet for a couple of seconds. Then I heard quick footsteps, and she opened the door, threw her arms around me and wept.

She was as tall as me now, dark blonde hair to her shoulders, very slim and had a grunge look to her. She was a pretty girl but hadn't really found her style yet, which is typical for teens I suppose.

“Alex!” she said as she wept without letting go of me. “I love him, why are they being so mean! They don't

want me to be happy! I hate them, I hate them!!” “Ah sweetie, come on, let’s have a chat!”

We walked into her bedroom which was filled with posters of Justin Bieber, One direction and one poster of Michael Jackson, a few clothes on the floor and a messy bed. She threw herself on the bed.

“What’s his name?” I asked

“Rory, he's so cool and cute, and he really likes me, asked to meet up, but now mum and dad's ruined everything!”

“They said he was seventeen?” I asked with a questionable expression.

“Yeah, and he likes ME! Can you believe it?” Her eyes round and big.

“Well yes I can,” I replied and continued. ”You’re smart, funny and very pretty, what's there not to like?”

“You really think so?” she asked while wiping her nose with a tissue.

“Of course! It's not even a compliment, I'm just stating the obvious!”

She chuckled at that and I smiled.
