seemed a bit distracted and was looking a bit dolled up. I assumed she was distracted, thinking of a meeting she might be off to but when I asked, all I got was a mixed answer, she said; “I don’t have time to chat now, don’t forget to lock up,” and she was off. I shook my head as she left, giving up on trying to read the woman.

Back in the flat Lisa was watching ’The Lord of The Rings’ with a few study books laying scattered across the couch and on the table.

“I have a bone to pick with you missy!” I announced. “My mum and dad came by the gallery today. Seems they knew about top secret information.”

Lisa looked at me with big innocent eyes.

“Look, they made me spill! I had no intention of telling them, but you know me? I accidentally mentioned that it was cool you’d been on a date, because it’s been like forever. I was seriously starting to think you might be a nun or something. I only said it for the sake of chit chat. Once I’d said it I realized that maybe it wasn’t the best idea, but it was too late. Besides, you shouldn’t live in the past, that’s what I always say!”

She gave a fake smile, waiting for her verdict. I gave her a cold hard look. She changed positions sitting up on her knees facing me and put her hands together as if she was praying.

“I’m so sorry Alex, can you ever forgive me?”

Darn Lisa, I had been prepared to be angrier with her, but she just had a way of making me fold, I simply couldn’t stay angry at her.

“Fine, I forgive you. But next time keep info I tell you to yourself, and ask me before blabbering to my parents, whether they know or not.”
