OMICRON
It took a minute for my eyes to get used to my new surroundings. I saw that inside the trunk, the space was about twenty meters long. It did look like I was inside a giant tree,
"Like those baobabs that people live inside in Africa,"
The walls looked like roots twisted and unpolished. I was standing on a space that looked like a sidewalk that stretched all around the whole place in a perfect circle. In the center there was a lake. But instead of water, it had some silver substance that reminded me of mercury: thick, heavy, and dense. The glow of it illuminated the whole place. I looked for William, but I saw nothing. There was a bundle of clothes nearby, but they didn't look like his.
"Then again, this light may be distorting our vision," Already a bit faulty due to my loss of lens.
I saw a movement on the surface of the liquid, and I got scared for a second. For all I knew, there could be other wizards here. I found a rock and held it tightly in my hand, trying to have something to protect myself with. Then I remembered the idea of calling William if I saw something wrong. I held onto that promise like a prayer when I saw something emerging.
Even though it was covered with the strange substance, I could see that it was a man. Then I realized that it was William. He stepped out of the lake in my direction, but I wasn't sure if he saw me. His eyes seemed to be closed under the thin veil of the shiny silver liquid, which was slipping from his body. He looked.
"Godlike..."
His whole frame glowing like it had been infused with a radioactive element, shining silver like the rays of the moon.
I was so mesmerized that I didn't notice at the beginning that he was completely naked. That is until I saw the last drops of the substance evaporating from his skin. As I stared at his naked body, I could feel Elle gaining a new strength. With a fist she broke the cover of the sarcophagus, emerging glorious and burning. The heat in my loins came alive once again, making my breathing short and anXious.
In that moment, he opened his eyes and looked at me. Then down to himself, and then at me again. Now the heat became a cold feeling in my stomach. I turned my back away from him, my face red and hot. I wanted to say sorry, but I was afraid to speak.
"Our voice is probably breathless."
"I don't really mind, you know?" He said. I could hear the smile in his voice, probably mocking my 'curiosity'.
"I've never seen a naked man before," I said, not sure why I was confessing my lack of experience.
"Oh..." He answered and I could hear some movements behind me.
"I'm dressed now."
When I turned around, he was wearing a simple white tunic, kind of see through. It looked like something the characters in Lawrence of Arabia would wear. Not sure if naked was better for me, this garment left enough to see to imagine the rest. Elle was not pushing it for a change, probably afraid of getting back to the darkness.
"Barely," I said, unable to control my stupid mouth. He laughed. "I'm not done yet. I need to use simple raw fabric for the rest of the ritual. No metal or jewelry."
"Okay." I felt dumb. "I'm sorry, I'm.here because I got out of the car and I couldn't find it again."
"It's enchanted," William said. "It's supposed to become invisible once there are no occupants. If you don't mind getting bored and watching the final step, I'll join you and we can both go back."
He proceeded to sit on the floor, positioned in the lotus flower form.
"I can stay here?"
"Only if I want you here," He said smiling. He
