RITU KAKAR

The scream that had been suppressed and buried deep within me since the boulder fell was finally out. After Aashi updated the doctors about the day’s events and my reactions to all that had taken place they were hopeful of my recovery.

“Mr. Kapur we are extremely hopeful now about Mira’s progress towards her recovery. It might take time and a lot of love and care but we are optimistic. But any further deductions will be only possible once she is awake and her reactions then.

Keep faith and things should now look up for our dear Mira.”

Hearing the doctors words, Dad who had been worried about the strategy backfiring finally relaxed a little but prayed hard for my recovery. All this while thanking God and even Rahul because he had also felt Rahul’s presence at that moment before I fainted, for helping him get me back.

While everyone prayed for my recovery, and by all I mean both my parents, my sister, my colleagues who had seen me fall again, I got to say my final farewell to the love of my life.

I know it would sound strange to people if I tell them this but it is true I did get to speak to my Rahul one more time. I got the chance to express my love and bask in his for one last time.

“You know that you have cheated me of all our dreams and hopes. You have spoilt me with so much love, care and pampering that I will never be the same again. You know I won’t be able to survive this world without you. You have been my pillar, my backbone, my strength how will I live without you. I love you more than my own life I need to be with you. Please take me with you where we can be together again. Please Rahul please. I love you, please don’t leave me.”
