Chapter 39: Indoor Park

A couple weeks later, both packs decided they wanted to keep the selected fighter as their alpha. They said goodbye and left.

Kam suggested the buses get used for a tourist sightseeing tour, called Mystery Tour. You do not know where you are going and for a fixed low fee that losses the business money you spend the day at one of the major area attractions. You leave the parking lot in Conway at eight in the morning and arrive back at six in the afternoon. You might go to a water, theme, or ski park. Just need some other surprise business that can be opened in the winter. Your admission is included. You are responsible for food and drinks.

The insurance claim came through so the construction company was used to build a new hotel on the burned land. Once built, part of the pack ran it. The pack's construction company and hotel employees moved into the hotel.

All of this building was planned over the winter. Construction was started in the spring and completed by the following winter.

The acreage that did not have anything on it before was where the pack's construction company built the replacement houses. Most of those woods survived the fire.

The houses close to the hotel were deeded to the previous owners. The houses were significantly improved to make up for the less desirable hotel that was visible in the view. But, the houses were higher up the slope so the overall view was better.

Those further away became the pack's. It still had a manned gate on the single access road.

The pack brought a huge track of land north of the mountains. It built a huge indoor amusement center for those rainy and winter days. The pack also built a new hotel on the land that provided shuttle service to the park. They were both run by the Bethlehem pack as the land was in the same area.

It had escape rooms and IMAX 3D theaters, where the seats moved with the movie action. It had many amusement and water park rides, including the largest indoor roller coaster. The roofs between or over attractions were retractable so most of the park could be outside on nice days. On the hot muggy days, the roofs were kept closed and the AC kept you comfortable, except in the water park area. Most of the roofs and walls were Plexiglas so you felt like you were outside even in a snow storm.

With this new attraction on the mystery tour, the bus company broke even on paper. They also got better price deals, from the other attractions, as their prices had to go down to attract customers. Many businesses could not compete so sold out to the pack.
