Get Info

You can “Get Info” about almost any item in the Score. Exactly which dialog box, window or pop-up appears depends on which element you activated. There are three ways to get info for an element in the score:

• Double click on it.
• Select it and select Get Info from the Edit menu.
• Select it and press the “i” button on the Score Toolbar

Menu/Dialog Box/Window:
Select between different types of bar lines.
Note Info window (change note appearance).
Split Rests dialog.
Set Time Signature dialog.
A dialog with the different clefs.
A dialog with all keys.

If MIDI Meaning is activated, and the particular symbol is listed in the MIDI Meaning dialog, then the MIDI Meaning dialog opens up.

The Preferences–Scores–Page Numbering dialog.
The Bar Number Offset dialog.

A name box. Note that when you are editing the Staff name, you may be changing the name of the actual Track or just the Staff name used in the scores, depending on the Staff Name settings in the Layout Settings dialog.

Process Crescendo dialog.
The Edit Line Attributes dialog.
Lets you edit the note value for the tempo calculation.

Two different pop-ups depending on which half of the symbol you clicked. Used to set up one type of note to be interpreted as another type of note.

Edit key or scale depending which half of the symbol you clicked. Edit title, comment and copyright, plus font, style and size settings. Edit text.
