(127—129) Works of Love
Love is the Fulfillment of the Law
Illusions of Love
How do we penetrate the illusions
That are love in our daily context?
It takes no time to form delusions
From what big thing is next
We can take so very long
To see through these deceptions
So we will know the world quite wrong
Because we see through false perceptions
There is nothing so very easy
To be social and to go astray
While our lives can feel just breezy
Our real love will go away
For love is a place of difficulty
Fraught with transformation
We are challenged in all our faculties
To achieve love's revelation
When we question our pretentiousness
To praise as love our social ease
Which is praised in power's speciousness
And not to be believed
Love is not subordination
It's no species of abasement
That is a state of detestation
And then love is in its banishment
Without God's love we have one desire
To live in dust and worship master
Thus to love's illusion we aspire
And make of love disaster
