Love is the fulfilling of the law
Love and the Eternal Will
In the face of the eternal will
We fail in our love's pretentiousness
The law of love must be fulfilled
For us to love in righteousness
Love cannot remain a self-deception
The eternal makes its demand
Love's illusion will bring no satisfaction
Sacred love is a divine command
In our world, love's made a perversion
That does not mean the sexual
Consumerism has made the conversion
Of love into something saleable
Love has become a product
For things of purchase, it is imbued
Real love is somehow suspect
Like it's something badly used
Our sacred love is not material
This love cannot be possessed
What is real here is ethereal
By that we are impressed
Through all of this, love can never perish
In no way is love degenerative
Eternal in its creation flourish
Love is in always integrative
Love is not a thing consumed
To be in its presence brings us peace
We can be free from what we assumed
From love of consuming we're released
